Zigzag Fish #1-7, 1997
Throughout the 1980’s and ‘90s Dina explored dynamic configurations of wall-mounted sculptures, often referencing schools of fish. She installed Zigzag fish in several ways, both as a vertical column and in a more scattered manner.
The work was included in Woodmere’s 2011 Flirting with Abstraction show, where it was mounted within an arched niche in the main gallery. Following that show, Woodmere accessioned the complete series to their permanent collection. Then following Dina’s death in late 2014, the series was reinstalled in the entrance foyer to the museum where it remains on view through 2016.
